Getting in touch for therapy
Reaching out for counselling in person or online is not always straightforward. For many people, making first contact could feel overwhelming, too exposing or difficult to put into words.
This is a normal part of the process. Seeking support from a qualified counsellor is deeply personal, and it often begins long before the first message or conversation.
If it helps, you might take a moment to think about:
What would help me feel more comfortable in an initial conversation? What feels the most important to say in a short amount of time? What am I hoping to get from therapy, even if I’m not fully sure yet? What feels realistically possible for me to commit to at this time?
Before our first conversation
You are welcome to share anything you feel is important for me to know before we speak. There is no pressure to explain everything clearly or perfectly; just starting where you are is enough.
I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
